I began composing ‘Finite III’ in March of 2019. As has been the case with many of my releases, its genesis was in the idea of just how to initiate the record. I was further impelled by the fact that Sophia had since purchased a 7-string electric violin, so it opened up many more options for melodies and such; everything snowballed from there. After listening to this song from beginning to end with his eyes closed, my son (6yo) said... first I was flying in outer space in a monster truck blasting out fire. then i was floating in space with a cat and we were both in space suits. and then i was fighting a giant robot and it turned into 80 more giant robots. but then my fist grew super big and i punched the giant one in the face and it died. music of exceptional creativity, color and virtuosity. :-) ache-horn
